Three Things
Carly
- Learning: So nice she had to mention it twice, a big hurrah for the WoST virtual conference
- Learning pt 2: SheCan’s masterminds group
- Listening: Jessie Reyez’ Before Love Came to Kill Us, specifically her rendition of goddess Patsy Cline’s (or Willie Nelson’s at George’s insistence) Crazy
Dan
- Learning: Playing along with Hoelsveen’s Hippo Emoji, and making him $48 richer
- Watching: YouTubber Dan Mace play The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights with bricks as per a troll’s “request”
- Watching pt 2: The tongue-twister Middleditch and Schwartz comedy specials on Netflix (a crowd pleaser by all accounts!)
George
- Reading: This week’s TASTE newsletter where they recommended the Pitchfork review of XTC’s Skylarking and his friend Justin’s Aquarium Drunkard radio and a tuna confit recipe forcing him to question whether he wrote it
- Listening: Cocaine and Rhinestones podcast (which he referred to as Cocaine and Cowboys, oops) and all the hours devoted to Harper Valley PTA
- Eating: Muddy Waters inspired by the Uglesich's Restaurant Cookbook, and finding this interview that, in other words, is a 112-page delight
