Carly, George and Dan talk about creating chaos in music, in politics, and on the internet. They also share their thoughts on the importance of taking care of your mental health, and George offers up his personal email for anyone who may be needing a bit of extra support during these upside down times. Have an idea or problem you can’t quite figure out? Write it out!
If you are struggling with your own mental health and don’t want to email George, you can call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) to reach a 24-hour crisis center.

Three Things
George
- Listening: To Songhoy Blues’ newest song Worry, produced by Matt Sweeney. They were pushed out of Mali by a jihadist group and started the band to “recreate that lost ambience of the north and make all the refugees relive those northern songs” #desertblues
- Listening pt 2: To The Clash’s triple album Sandinista! (which he wanted to refer to all of you as)
- Watching: The 12 O’Clock Boys documentary about dirt bikers in Baltimore. Their own depictions of why they rode was reminiscent to George of the flow state that we often talk about
Dan
- Listening: To the song Chase the Sun by Fools Rush In, a song he hadn’t heard in ages. He decided to look into what they’re up to now and discovered that the lead singer was eaten by a great white shark. Nostalgia quickly turned to tragedy. Also, the band was from Australia, not New Zealand, and they are definitely two very different countries.
- Watching: Pete Yorn perform an acoustic version of his latest album musicforthemorningafter on a paid livestream
- Eating: His own homemade version of the Fat Sandwich. He needs you all to know that this is the most important link of all the links here. We can’t properly his convey his excitement over this, so you’ll just have to listen to hear it from him
Carly
- Listening: To Avenue Beat’s F2020 and singing along. She didn’t bite during the episode (someone was feeling a bit sensitive) but she referred to it as a bop, and she stands by that
- Using: Aaptiv, which she normally uses for yoga or running workouts, for guided sleep meditations
- Watching: HBO’s hit I May Destroy You and marveling at the talent, strength and creative genius of creator and star Michaela Coel, who turned down a cool one million offer from Netflix because they refused to budge on copyright. Let’s see more of this!
